Equipment is selected for the passenger and route. A stretcher-to-chair configuration may help with certain narrow or awkward access arrangements, but only when suitable for the passenger and within the equipment's limits.

Medicar does not rely on one blanket website weight figure. Accurate weight, dimensions, access, equipment, vehicle and staffing must be considered together.
